Sailing and Volcanoes: trekking and sailing in the Aeolian archipelago
A sea voyage to discover the land, in a sporty version. Designed for those who want to live life on board intensely, and perhaps learn some more secrets of navigation, wind, and sea: we offer a trip on a traditional sailing boat. Double cabins and two common bathrooms.

Program (8 days– 7 nights)
Airport pick up and transfer by minivan to the Marina di Portorosa tourist port (20 km from Milazzo) Presentation of crew and guests: briefing on life rules on board, safety, ecology, roles of the crew, kitchen, galley and maneuvers at sea and in port.
Update of the weather and sea conditions and the state of the volcanoes.
Accommodation on the boat, aperitif on board and dinner on land
Breakfast on board, navigation to Vulcano Island. About 4 hours. Anchor in front of the town of Vulcano / Porto or the floating docks of the marina.
First trekking, about 4 hours, to the crater of the Volcano.
Aperitif and dinner on board.
Breakfast on board, navigation to Panarea for about 3 and a half hours. Anchoring in the harbor.
Easy trekking (Pizzo del Corvo, Calajunco Bay, 4h) to Panarea and return by boat.
Aperitif on board, dinner ashore in Panarea and overnight on the boat.
Breakfast on board, navigation in the morning to Stromboli, about 3 hours.
In the afternoon, trekking on the volcano according to the limitations present at the moment (volcanic activity in the summit area). To be evaluated in 2022 what will be possible: with the current conditions, i.e., excursion up to 400m of altitude, about 4h of walking.
Return on board, aperitif and dinner. Overnight on the boat at anchor.
Breakfast on board and navigation to Salina (about 5 hours), mooring in the port.
Trekking in Salina: Monte Fossa delle Felci, 962 m asl (5 hours), with use of taxi to move to the start of the trek,
Packed lunch or at sea and depending on the time of arrival, possibility of wine tasting in Salina.
Dinner ashore, return on board for the night.
Breakfast on board, navigation in the morning to Lipari. About 2 and a half hours.
Relax, shopping and a walk in the village. For those who want, Pumice hike (about 4,5 h).
Aperitif and dinner on the boat, overnight stay in the port of Lipari.
Breakfast on board and relaxing sailing between Lipari and Vulcano, with lunch at anchor in the harbor.
Return to the port of departure in the afternoon.
Dinner ashore. Night in port.
Breakfast on the boat and according to the return flight times (transfer to Catania or Palermo by minivan).
Disembarkation before 09.00.

On request, it is possible to organize travel to/from Catania or Palermo and an eventual extension of the vacation in Sicily.
Difficulty: EASY, coastal navigation between Sicily and the Aeolian Archipelago. Trekking to volcanoes according to the safety restrictions in force at the time of the trip.
Effort: between 4 and 5 hours of navigation a day, trekking between 3 and 4 hours a day.
Equipment: normal summer trekking equipment, clothing suitable for life on board, swimsuit. In any case, the skipper and the Guide will contact the participants for a preliminary briefing.

• Deposits: 30% of the fee at the time of booking, balance one month before departure.
• Rental deposit: € 2500 by credit card, upon boarding (refunded at the end of the cruise).
• The program may undergo variations at the sole discretion of the Skipper based on the marine weather conditions, and of the Alpine Guide based on the limitations due to volcano activity
• In the event of a change in the program, for reasons beyond the control of the Skipper, any additional costs will be divided among the participants
