Freeride Monte Rosa

Monterosa Ski complex is located in the heart of the Italian Alps at the foot of Monte Rosa, the second highest massif in Europe. Cable-cars and chair-lifts connect three different valleys: Ayas, Gressoney and Sesia and here you can find incredible slopes and unique views.

February – March 2023

Fresh snow descents for all levels free-riders await you in Monte Rosa, from beginners to experienced skiers, with thrilling abseiling to reach the most remote corners and the most beautiful slopes!

You can book individually or for a private group (maximum 6 people) with minimum notice, to offer the best possibility of evaluating weather and snow conditions.
With small ascents with ski climbing-skins, it is possible to expand the choice of itineraries and make the descents even longer and more satisfying.
Possibility to rent skies and safety equipment on site.

Program

8:30 am – meeting in Gressoney (at departure of the Stafal cable-car).
We check the equipment together and dedicate some time to brief participants on safety and on the correct use of avalanche rescue devices.
Immediately after, we leave for the adventure in the heart of Monte Rosa!
Proposed timetable, to be confirmed according to snow conditions.

Possibility of off-calendar days, to be agreed.

General information:

Difficulty: MEDIUM.
Effort: medium (6 hours of skiing).
Equipment: free ride skies, ski-skins, avalanche-rescue device (ARTVA), shovel, probe.
Clothing: winter-proof hiking clothing, freeride backpack. In any case, the mountain guide will contact all participants for detailed information.

Important Note:

Mandatory personal equipment: avalanche device, shovel, probe.
Before departure, the mountain guide contacts all participants for useful information for the trip and for the necessary equipment.
The program may undergo variations at the unquestionable judgment of the mountain guide based on weather conditions and snow conditions, technical level of participants.

COST PER PERSON:

• 1 person : 430 €
• 2 or 3 people: 220 €
From 4 to 6 people: 130 €

RESERVATIONS AND PENALITIES POLICY:

• Bookable according to the calendar, upon reaching the number of participants, with reservations closing and confirmation 5 days from the requested date.
• In the event of cancellation due to adverse weather conditions or force majeure, the entire participation fee will be refunded.
• Penalty: 100% of the participation fee for cancellations from 4 days before departure
